38,000 new landings in Canada during August 2021

As per the reports from IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada), Canada has landed 38,000 new immigrants with permanent residency during August 2021.  The new immigrants count in Canada remains high. 

IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) reported that 38,000 new immigrants obtained permanent residency in Canada in August 2021. Canada continues to be home to a large number of immigrants. Mostly In Canada international students and work permit holders are the biggest gainer for this year as no FSW draw for almost one year now. 

 New immigrants continue to arrive in Canada in large numbers in August 2021. This is the third month in a row that Canada had higher immigration levels than usual. As of June, there were nearly 36,200 new permanent residences under the immigration levels, and nearly 40,500 in July, according to the plan 2021 to 2023. 

As many as 41,0000 new immigrants are expected to be welcomed by the RCIC between January and August of 2021. There are about 222000 immigrants in Canada. To achieve its goal for 2021, Canada will welcome 179,000 new immigrants per month or approximately 45000 per month for the rest of this year.

Regardless of whether Canada falls short of the goal, it has the flexibility to increase its newcomer intake in 2022 and 2023 to make up for it. The government of Canada believes immigration is key to supporting the country's post-pandemic economic recovery.

As travel restrictions have been lifted in recent months, Canada can now accept more new immigrants from overseas.
