IRCC invited only PNP candidates to apply for permanent residence in the first Express Entry draw of the year on 5th Jan 2022

Draws for Express Entry usually take place on Wednesdays every two weeks. Sometimes, when a PNP draw is held on a Wednesday, the CEC draw is held the next day. Earlier this year, #209 was the Express Entry draw on November 10th, 2021. CRS score of 685 was the cutoff for the 209th draw, which offered 775 ITA.

NOC 2021-What ways does this affect immigrants?

In fall 2022, Canada's immigration system will change how occupations are classified.

NOC skill levels are replaced with the TEER system

In place of the current approach of categorizing jobs based on skill type, the Canadian government will now categorize jobs based on a new training, education, experience, and responsibilities (TEER) system.

NOC skill levels are currently divided into four categories: A, B, C, and D.

In NOC 2021, this will be replaced with the TEER system, which has six categories: TEER categories 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4.

NOC 2021 Canada has introduced NOC 2021, scheduled to be implemented by "fall 2022"

The National Occupational Classification (NOC) undergoes a major structural revision every ten years, which involves the review of the framework of the Classification and the existing occupational groups. In response to these changes, the NOC 2021 will reflect the evolution of the economy and nature of work during the next decade.

A major revision cycle of the NOC 2021 resulted in in-depth research, analysis, and assessment of the feedback received through occupational consultations and research. During the revision process, stakeholders and the public provided valuable input.

38,000 new landings in Canada during August 2021

As per the reports from IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada), Canada has landed 38,000 new immigrants with permanent residency during August 2021.  The new immigrants count in Canada remains high. 

IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) reported that 38,000 new immigrants obtained permanent residency in Canada in August 2021. Canada continues to be home to a large number of immigrants. Mostly In Canada international students and work permit holders are the biggest gainer for this year as no FSW draw for almost one year now. 

Parent and Grandparents immigrant lottery-2020-2021

  According to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)  The 2021 Parent and Grandparents immigrant lottery has been completed

The lottery took place between 23rd September 2021and  4th October 2021. Yesterday, 30,000 invitations were sent out for this year's lottery.

According to the IRCC, to receive an invitation you must have submitted an interest to sponsor form on its website for the 2020 PGP process (between October and November 2020). Anyone else is not eligible for the 2021 process.

It is mandatory that candidates meet the minimum eligibility requirements for the program, have a genuine offer of employment from a New Brunswick employer, and have the intention to live and work permanently in the province.
