In fall 2022, Canada's immigration system will change how occupations are classified.
NOC skill levels are replaced with the TEER system
In place of the current approach of categorizing jobs based on skill type, the Canadian government will now categorize jobs based on a new training, education, experience, and responsibilities (TEER) system.
NOC skill levels are currently divided into four categories: A, B, C, and D.
In NOC 2021, this will be replaced with the TEER system, which has six categories: TEER categories 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4.
