IRCC has so far only held a CEC and a PNP draw this year. As a result, the minimum score cutoff has fluctuated. In the case of the PNP draw, the minimum score is considerably higher since all PNP candidates have received 600 points. Since invited candidates are not competing with other applicants, the number of CEC applicants is typically lower. As IRCC is taking less out of the CEC draw, if the CEC is smaller, the score cutoff could be higher.
