TN visa Explained

The USMCA preserves free trade between the three North American countries, while updating the rules to accommodate global changes since NAFTA was implemented in 1994.

The TN visa is a type of temporary worker visa reserved for citizens of Canada and Mexico. It is designed to help facilitate the exchange of qualified business professionals between the U.S. and Canada who are participating in certain types of work, including:

-Provided an essential service, or

-Participating in the development, production, or distribution of motion pictures, videos, sound recordings, or programs for radio and television broadcasting.

The TN visa may be granted to Canadians who are working as professional business people such as accountants or doctors; it also applies to Mexicans participating in certain activities that qualify under the NAFTA agreement.
