What is TN Visa?

The TN visa is a special category of U.S. visa that enables citizens of Canada, Mexico and the countries in the Caribbean to temporarily work in the United States as professionals.

A citizen of one of these countries who meets the requirements for TN status may be granted this type of visa when they are seeking to enter the United States temporarily as a nonimmigrant worker and have been offered employment based on an approved temporary work offer sent by an employer through U.S. embassy or consulate outside the United States to DHS's Customs and Border Protection (CBP) at least six months before his or her intended date of arrival in the United States.
